Excellent location to Kanazawa station and places of interests. 7-11 below the hotel, reception counter with coffee and drinks available.

Great stay to explore Kanazawa

The location is very nice. The station is a 5 minute walk away, with plenty of restaurants, cafes and nice cute shops. The interesting thing about Kanazawa as a tourist is that thanks to their bus loops you can essentially get to every attraction from the station itself, which means this hotel enables you perfectly to keep things flexible and go on a whim to places that were not perhaps in your initial plan. The hotel itself is perfectly in line with other Daiwa Roynet hotels: quality interior (especially the bathroom) with good amenities, and a nice desk & chair combo for work, if need be. A strange and particular highlight here was a massage chair that came in super handy after long days out exploring the wonderful city. Finally, I was very impressed with the value for what I paid. This is possibly due to visiting in off-season, but I think it is still worth mentioning.

As in other DR hotels, beds are quite stiff, which may be a problem for some (perhaps only for western folks, not sure). I am used to it but it is still a puzzling choice in what would otherwise be a perfect room. Also, the hotel is really on top of the train station, and even though sound proofing is great, it is not enough to completely block sounds. Cargo trains would usually run deep into the night and be quite loud, so ear plugs are recommended if you are a light sleeper.

A comfortable and clean hotel at a reasonable rate, easy walking distance to Kanazawa station .

There were complimentary coffee , tea , juice and water at the lobby . Comfortable room. Very clean.

Perhaps because there was a lot of rain while I was there, I did wish to have booked a hotel a little closer of a walk to the station. It is located on the side and back aspect , a block away from the Kanazawa station. Had the weather been good, I probably would have enjoyed the short walk.

Enjoyed the stay tremendously.

3-5 min walk away from the train station. Love the massage chair! Room is near the train station so it's easy to spot the different trains. Facilities are great and comfortable. Staff are very polite and professional. Size of the room is ideal.

We were told that daily housekeeping is optional upon request. But once a week there will be a compulsory housekeeping for hygiene purposes. We expected the normal housekeeping. But it was only the disposal of the rubbish. Perhaps it will be good if the staff can be specific about this work to manage expectations.

Great hotel with central location. Lovely helpful staff.

The location was perfect as we could walk with our suitcases from the station. Also there are lots of shops and restaurants nearby, with a shopping Centre as well, all within the station area. The bus we had to catch to go to all the popular tourist areas also leaves from the station. There is a convenient store next to the hotel. There is also an Italian restaurant below the hotel. Unfortunately we didn’t make a booking in time so we couldn’t get a table but it was very busy and looked like a very popular place to eat. We liked having a laundry to do our washing.

The bed is pushed against the wall due to the size of the room. So even though I tried to book a big room where there was space on either side of the bed, this was not the case. Before I booked, I studied the photos of the room to make sure there was space around the bed. But obviously the photo was taken in such a way that made it look like there was space. However we found that nearly all the hotels we stayed in had the same layout so that is obviously the case with most hotels in Japan. There were 3 washing machines, which has a dryer function as well. So it was hard to use the machines as they were always in use. Also the dryer function is pretty useless and even after 2 hours in the dryer my clothes were still very damp.

Great hotel for short stay close to the train station

The coffee station and juice station at the lobby was nice. The hotel is very close to the train station (about 5 minutes walk by crossing two cross walks) and there is a 7-11 on the bottom floor. (Note that the train noise at night wasn't that much of an issue).

The walk to the train station was not very pleasant as it was snowing and although the area in front of the hotel was cleaned up, the cross walk was a disaster. I know it is not the hotel's responsibility but I wish they would have helped clear the cross walk since so many guests were rolling around with their luggage. (It would have been a good citizen move by the hotel). The laundry machines were very busy at night and I had to wait for a long time before a machine was free. The mirroring on the TV didn't work very well for me.

Small but satisfactory

Good location close to station. A literal stones throw and it is worth checking out the little mall in the station too. Clean rooms. Decent size for Japan. No real space for luggage. Which is also normal for Japan. But has a 7/11 underneath and a pizza place.

A comfortable stay walking distance to trains

A smaller clean and comfortable room an easy walking distance to train station. An Italian restaurant and 7 eleven downstairs. The restaurant was an added bonus for breakfast and dinner.

I thought check in was a bit impersonal by being directed to self check in machine it was the only hotel that we stayed in over our 3 week stay that had that system it was ok but a bit confronting for tired tourists it seemed like it took longer to check in as well. Check out was much faster.

A great base to explore Kanazawa!

The best stays we had in this Japan trip. Barely 5 min walk to Kanazawa train station. Staff was very helpful with our form filling for the local luggage delivery service. The lady even called the hotel where we are sending our luggage to, to confirm the details. Coffee and tea station at reception and additional toiletries can be picked up by guests who needed them. Breakfast was a nice variety. Cleanliness is top notch.

Wished there is a different breakfast menu on the second day.
